Sam Allardyce’s grandson has signed for League One club Oxford United on a one-year contract.The centre-back, also named Sam Allardyce, was previously part of Manchester United and Bury’s youth set-up.Yellows manager Karl Robinson heaped praise on Allardyce, 18, following the announcement of the signing.Robinson said: “Sam is an ‘old school’ defender.“He reads the game really well and wants to win every ball and every header. The former England manager’s grandson said: “It’s a big move for me, away from home and at an important stage of my career.“I’ll come here and give it my all, and I’m determined to make the most of the opportunity.”
