Mohamed Salah has been crowned the 2018 African Player of the Year.The Liverpool forward retained the trophy for the second year in a row, beating teammate Sadio Mane and Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the award.2

The ‘Egyptian King’ picked up his trophy at a glitzy award ceremony in Dakar, Senega.He became the fourth player in history to retain the trophy, joiningEl Hadji Diouf, Samuel Etoo and Yaya Toure in winning the award back-to-back.
